4-page papers

4-page paper submission is open from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013 .

There will be a planned power outage affecting the submission system on Friday, June 28th, from 7:30 to 10:00 Central European Summer Time.

The link to the submission system will appear here during the opening time of the system.

Templates for the paper:

Submitted documents must be in PDF format. Other formats (MsWord, TeX, Postscript, ...) are not acceptable.

All papers must comply with the following format:
Number of pages: 4
Page size: A4 (21.0 x 29.7 cm)
Page margins: 2.5 cm on all 4 sides, gutter 0.0
Fonts: Times, Symbol
Font size: 14 pt (title), 12 pt (main text), 10 pt (figure captions, references)
Line spacing: 1.5 lines (21 pt)
Title of paper: Centred alignment, bold font 14 pt
List of authors: Centred alignment, normal font 12 pt, presenting author underlined, e.g. M. First1, N.N. Second2
Author affiliations: Centred alignment, italic font 12 pt, e.g. 1Institute, City, Country
Body text: Justified alignment, normal font 12 pt
References: 10-point font, 1.5 line spacing
Figure captions: 10-point font

Invited Papers

The invited talks from the EPS conference will be published in a special issue of Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (PPCF). The manuscript submission deadline is July 5th 2013. Due to the very tight publication schedule, papers which are submitted after the deadline may not be published in the special issue.

The page limit is 8 pages for invited and 12 pages for plenary invited talks.

IOP Publishing will manage the peer-review of the special issue.

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically directly to PPCF via the online submission service or to the journal email box (ppcfA famous symboliop.org).

The requirements for special issue papers are the same as for regular submissions to PPCF (or any IOP journal) therefore the authors must comply with PPCF manuscript preparation and submission guidelines, please visit http://authors.iop.org for details.

Authors’ and referees’ main contact throughout the reviewing process will be with the PPCF editorial office please direct any inquiries to the journal email box (ppcfA famous symboliop.org).

Special PPCF issue editors will be the chairs of the four sub-committees, the chairs of the Local Organizing Committee, the Local Organizing Committee scientific secretary and the chair of the programme committee.


Oral presentations

The allotted time for oral presentations is:

  • Plenary invited oral: 35 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussion)
  • Parallel session invited oral: 30 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussion)
  • Contributed oral: 15 minutes (including 3 minutes for discussion)

Speakers must keep strictly to time due to the large number of presentations.

The projectors at Dipoli have the following resolution: 1024x768 (4:3 aspect ratio). The room Poli, is reserved for speakers preparations: The slides can be uploaded and tested before the presentation and the remote control for the slides can be studied. The slides can also be sent by e-mail to eps2013-slidesA famous symbolaalto.fi. In any case, include the presentation code and presenting author last name in the file name, please.


Poster presentations

The largest poster that will certainly fit to a poster board is portrait A0: 84.1 cm wide and 118.9 cm high. The organizers will provide fasteners for the posters.

An on-site printing service will be provided.


Abstracts

Please note that only one contribution per main (presenting) author will be considered.

Abstract submission was open from February 4th 2013 to February 25th 2013 .

Approximately 600 abstracts were received. The Programme Committee will draw the scientific program for the conference. The estimated date for publishing the program is April 2nd 2013. All authors who have sent and abstract, will receive a notification. A confirmation e-mail will state if their contribution has been accepted as an oral or as a poster presentation.

The abstract submission has ended. The post-deadline abstracts should be submitted via email to the Programme Committee. The post deadline abstracts should be contributions where after the official abstract deadline important results have been obtained which demand presentation at this EPS conference. The post deadline abstracts can be submitted until May 24th 2013.
